In 1997 Donn and Linda Eley founded the Brent Eley Foundation to honor their son, Brent, who bravely fought Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. After Brent’s passing, their grief sparked a “Big Idea”: to create a safe haven for families traveling far from home for cancer treatment – a place to stay together during their journey.
That Big Idea became Brent’s Place and, since then, we’ve supported more than 2,000 families from across the nation.
As the sole provider of long-term, medically safe housing and accompanying respite support in the Rocky Mountain West, we embark on a mission to transform lives and foster healing – one family at a time. Here’s what sets us apart from other hospitality houses:
At Brent’s Place, we understand that a medical crisis affects the entire family. Our mission goes beyond providing shelter – we create a community of support, hope and healing for families during their most challenging times.
At Brent’s Place we believe everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, and made to feel heard, valued, and that they belong.
In order to make this true, we promise to actively practice allyship, challenge inequities, and give everyone the opportunity to contribute how they are able. We expect everyone who enters our doors to respect each other, these beliefs, and the actions we take to protect them. This means we will not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment based on, but not limited to the following:
We are committed to ensuring that Brent’s Place is always a place of hope and healing for all.
