Brent’s Place Demographics


Brent’s Place welcomes social worker referred patients and families who are receiving care at the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center and The University of Colorado Hospital.  Patients from other hospitals, who are in need of Brent’s Place “Safe-Clean” environmental standards, are accepted with social worker referral on a case-by-case basis.

2011 Demographics

In 2011, Brent's Place provided 87 family stays.
The average length of stay was 105 days, up from 81.5 days in 2010, for a total of 5,274 room nights and a 96% occupancy rate.

We offered 394 family programs in 2011, serving 7,330 participants!

2010 Demographics

In 2010, Brent’s Place provided 109 family stays, serving 344 individuals, with an average family size of 3.16 people.  22% of families returned for repeat visits.

The average length of stay for all patients was 61.7 days. 
The average length of stay for patients under 24 years of age was 81.5 days.  

The longest stay was 327 days.
